BOY IT SURE SNOWED A BUNCH
DR. SUESS' INFLUENCE
SEMI-FROZEN WATERFALL
RELAXATION IN THE FORM OF
MINERAL BATHS
We awoke this morning at Jeff's house to a winter wonderland. It snowed about four inches here and everything looked beautiful. Jeff made us pancakes again for breakfast; being the barefoot farmer, it didn't surprise us when he walked outside barefoot in the snow to get the eggs and milk for the pancakes. After eating, we went outside to shovel his walkways. It was awfully good exercise.
This afternoon was spent at the Armour Hotel. We had steams and mineral baths for over an hour. It was just what we needed to cleanse and soothe our souls. The mineral baths smelled of sulfur. They were quite pungent, but not bad enough to keep us out of the baths. Apparently these mineral baths offer loads of health benefits and we hope to reap said benefits. They told us to remove all our jewelry and we did, except Jen didn't take her nose ring out and now it is bronze instead of silver. Crazy minerals.
After our soak, we stopped by the intern house to collect the last of our goods. We headed back over to Jeff's and relaxed here for the evening with friends, good food, and good music. There was even a bonfire in the snow, which is quite an unusual sight. It was a stellar day.
...and finally a well-deserved rest and bath!
